Caspar Huber and Mary Ackermann Huber came to the USA from Switzerland in 1868. They settled in Trenton, Illinois and had 12 living children Louis, Theodor, Fredric Alfred, Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, Josephine, John (my grandfather), Frank, Caspar and Anton (twins) and Margaret Josephine. Caspar Huber aka Charlie went to California and was in and worked on 1940's movies. Some family currently live in or near St. Louis, Missouri while others are in Belleville, Illinois or Indiana. Would love to find other family members of Caspar and Mary Huber

By any chance do you have a photo of any of your early Ackermann's? I ask because my Great Grandmother Maria Anna Ackerman married Simon Fricker 28 Jun 1856 in Madison County..... I can't get beyond her..... all I have is from family notes that she immigrated to this country abt 1838 when she was 3.... I feel she was from Switzerland according to most of her census records..... If this rings any bells with you let me know, please.

I'm Christine Zahn Berdiansky, great, great grandaughter of Casper and Mary huber. Their daughter, Elizabeth married John Zahn, they had my grandfather Randolph Zahn. Randolph and Anastacia (Dahm) Zahn had Walter, Elizabeth (Betty) and my day, Robert Zahn.

I am George Laubner, great great grandson of George Gleich (von Gliech in the old country). George Gleich was among the early German settlers of Clinton County, Illinois. According to family lore George Gleich, after coming to America, returned to Germany and brought back with him members of the Zahn family among them two Zahn daughters, one of whom I believe he married. George Gleich resided in Trenton, Illinois where I am told he and his brother John owned a brickyard and a livery stable business. I believe both are buried in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery at Trenton

Caspar and Mary Ackermann Huber had 12 living children including my grandfather John Huber. His sister Elizabeth Huber married John Zahn and they had 2 children. The family grew up in Trenton, Illinois and many are buried in St. Mary's Cemetery. I had hoped to locate the family home in Trento but I believe that it has been torn down. The home of Theodore Huber is still standing and my brother and I met the lastest owner. Please let me know if you would like an abridged family tree for the Huber/Ackermanns.

I am the g-g-g-granddaughter of John Maehringer (Mehringer) who was married to Kunigunda Gleich. Her death obituary says she has two brothers: George Gleich and John Gleich. They came to US in 1880(?)and settled in Chgo, IL. Kunigunda Gleich-Mahringer is buried at St. Mary's Catholic cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL. Is this the same family you are referring to?
