I am searching for information regarding Ralph Sprenger (or Springer) married to Mary Estella Lynch on August 26, 1908 very possibly in Waterbury, New Haven, CT. They had 7 children together in this county. Mary Estella was originally born in MA. Ralph had abandon the family after 1917. Any connection regarding this would be appreciated.

Thank you. I will respond in kind if I receive any information. I would like to see your photo if it can be scanned, that would be great. My email is dolforney@hotmail.com. Who knows? We may have a connection. Why are you using the New Haven Co. posting? I am using it because my father's family lived there for a time. My grandfather Ralph (the subject of this search) was born in Westchester County in NY.

Regards,

Dollie

I do not have information regarding sprengers from Kansas to SF but I have not been able to trace past two generations so far. I am waiting for information from vital statistics in Westchester Co. regarding my grandfather. There still may be a connection but I have had very little success finding out information on the sprenger/springer side. I will keep your response hoping I will get a break soon.

I am looking for information on a relative of mine called William Emil Sprenger born in Connecticut in 1895. He was in New Haven as assistant secretary of the YMCA in 1915-16; with the French Army as secretary of the YMCA in 1917-19; and in Roumania as secretary of the YMCA in 1919-21. He went to Trinity College and was ordained to the Priesthood on December 13, 1925 and died in 1969.

His parents moved to Kansas from here in the UK. Is this the same as your Emil

There does not appear to be a connection. My Emil Sprenger arrived in the US from Switzerland about 1880 and lived in Kansas

my grandfather Ralph has been a huge mystery to all of us in the family. I think I may have found his birth certificate but it is under the name Springer. My aunt believes the name had been changed from or to Sprenger at some point around WW2. Anyway, the birth certificate said he was born in Westchester County July 29, 1887 to John Henry Springer and to the best I can make out, Cathrin Curtain. He left my father's family when my father and my one living aunt were very young. He left no trace. He married my grandmother Mary Estella Lynch August 26, 1908. I am not sure if this is helpful or not.
