Sealand Hall of Cheshire and New Hartford
I'm researching Sealand Hall who was born 3 May 1781 in Cheshire, New Haven County, Connecticut. His name is sometimes spelled Seland Hall and mistranscribed as Lealand or Leland Hall. He was a resident of New Hartford, Litchfield County, Connecticut in 1803 when he sold land in Cheshire. He is listed in the 1810 census of Cheshire and the 1820 census of Guilford, Chenango County, New York. His son George Hall was born 1 Feb. 1804 in Connecticut, but I haven’t found a record of his birth in town or church records.
I’d like to identify Sealand Hall’s wife, but I haven’t been able to locate their marriage record. I’ve checked deeds, town records and Congregational church records for both Cheshire and New Hartford. I did not find Sealand in the Hale Collection.
Can anyone suggest other sources I should check?
Thank you.
