This family record is taken from a manuscript concerning the descendants of Isaac and Fannie (Bronson) Buckingham. A typed extract of the Buckingham information was made in 1974 by a cousin, now dead. The author of the work is not identified and the extract did not provide any citations to source material. However, the information in the manuscript agrees with all known vital statistics, deeds, probate and census records of the Buckingham family. The information concerning Harvey and Fanny Bronson appears to have been derived from a family bible, as the vital and church records at the Connecticut State Library do not contain this information. Regarding a granddaughter of Harvey and Fanny, the manuscript refers to an “Old Bible record”. There was no other information concerning the Bronson family in the manuscript.

Other references concerning Harvey and Fanny Bronson, include: Connecticut Vital Records in the Barbour Collection, Waterbury for birth of Harvey Bronson, and Derby for marriages of the children of Harvey and Fanny. Harvey and Fanny (Munson) Bronson are my 4th great-grandparents. Any one interested in exchanging information about this family is welcome to contact me.

The book Bronson (Brownson, Brunson) Families: some descendants of John Richard and Mary Brownson of Hartford Connecticut list both Ebenezer and Harvey as sons of Ebenezer II. Harvey is listed as being born 21 Feb 1774 and married Fanny Munson.

I think this book is considered an authority on the Bronson families.

I am descended from a son of Ebenezer III but have been unable to verify this info since the Bronson book ends with Ebenezer III.

If I can be of any help to you, please contact me at karrj@frontiernet.net

I am trying to connect Aarron Hill who married Pamelia Winston to this family. He went to LaGrange CO., Indiana and then later to Iowa where he died. His son Ebenezer Hill married hannah M. Barber.

Thank you noticing my message. I am not sure that I can help you. Perhaps I am missing something, but judging by your message Aaron, Ebenezer Hill & wife Hannah Barber Hill - siblings & children information please posted Sept. 27, 2009, it would seem that Aaron Hill was born approximately the same era as Harvey Bronson. I have no record of any siblings or children of Harvey Bronson associated with the Hill family. If you have any other information to suggest a connection with the Harvey Bronson family, please let me know.

I do appreciate your reply & agree with dates, I am trying to find out just where Mary Bronson (various spellings) from about this area fits in with the others bronson families - I need to keep looking but it seemed after I had read this, I realized my dates are not correct.
