My maternal grandparents owned a home in Newtown from 1967-1983 (approx). I grew up in that house, I remember the house and surrounding area vividly. I know the address. When my grandmother sold it, she said a real estate agency was making it their offices. I've looked online and see where the house is/should be, and though it looks different in many ways, it has to be the house. I was wondering if someone in the area could tell me if the house is currently occupied, and if there is anywhere I may be able to find pictures old or new. Growing up we were told that the house and the house across the street were around in the 1800s, with one being the saloon/livery stable and the other an inn. Is there anywhere I can find the true history of the house?
I would really just love to see it again.

Let me have the address and I'll see what I can get for you. If you send me your e-mail address, I'll send you a photo of what it presently looks like.

The address was 5 Currituck Road. I have found it on a map and seen an aerial view. It's exactly where it should be from what I remember, but it doesn't look exactly the same as I remember. my email is lauriannebrooks@aol.com
