ARARAT, NC - Arthur Arvidson, age 62, died on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009. Funeral Service will be Monday, Oct. 12, 3 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Arthur Arvidson, age 62 passed away at Forsyth Medical Center October 8, 2009.
Mr. Arvidson was born in Bridgeort, CT on October 9, 1946 to the late Arthur and Marilyn Gagner Arvidson.
Mr. Arvidson served two years in the US Navy and also two years in the US Army and was of the Catholic Faith. He loved animals, enjoyed being with family and friends.
Mr. Arvidson is survived by his wife of 21 years, Karen Napier of the home; a daughter, Katrina Danielle Arvidson and her boyfriend, James Taylor, IV; one grandchild, Aiden Taylor; two brothers, Daniel Arvidson and wife Diane of Boca Raton, FL, and Kevin and wife, Connie of Old Town, FL.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Arvidson was preceded in death by three sisters, Marilyn Toth, Sandra Bosse and Jeanette Arvidson; a brother, Randal Arvidson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2009 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Father Eric Kowalski. Full military rites will be conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard post 2019 of Mt. Airy and post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Rd, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28210 or to the Surry Animal Rescue 112 Quail Run Rd. Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
