Does anyone in the Lake Co. area know if there is a list of names of people buried in the old Upper Lake Cemetary? I would like to get ahold of such a list to find whether an ancester of mine is buried there.

Anita, You sound like just the person I need. I believe that my uncle Wilfred Morrison is the same one who died 25-May-1991 in Upper Lake, Lake Co. CA. Is there any way you can locate an obituary/gravesite/death record for me? Uncle Wilfred was the oldest of 11 children from 3 different marriages including stepkids and he's been elusive. Especially as I am the youngest grandchild of the bunch and most of the older family members are gone now. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, Merrie, but this Wilfred Morrison was my husband's family. He is from a local pioneer family and this Morrison line is very well documented, and never moved to any other area since 1857.

I found 2 Wilfred Morrisons in the SSDI that could possibly be my uncle. Hopefully, the other one will pan out. My grandfather was a pretty wild figure in his younger days and wasn't to good on being a father or husband. So...both the first marriages/wives and their children have been hard to run down. I do know that my Wilfred did go to California but it's a pretty big state. Ha Ha. Thanks again,

May Severn b: 9 July 1798, some sources spelled her name as Severin. My GreatGrand Mother was Alice Elsie Hanscom b: 27 July 1872 in Empire City, Coos, Oregon d: 1 Dec 1945 in Upper Lake, California. She married Augustus Oliver Wheeler 11 Oct 1888. in Bandon, Coos, Oregon, May McReynolds was the widow of Edward Cunningham, they married in abt 1863 in Kentucky

yes, this is my family line also. Alice Hanscom was my great grandmother, her daughter Agnes Wheeler my grandmother. Does your research go further back on the Cunningham/McReynold line?

He married Alice Elsie Hanscom 11 Oct 1888 in Brandon, Coos, Oregon. Alice Elsie Hanscom b: 27 July 1872 in Empire ity, Oregon, d: 1 Dec 1945 in Upper Lake California. Our grandmother's, Bernice and Agnes were sisters. I can remember seeing pictures of Aunt Bernice and hearing her name when I was a child. I think I have as much info as you do on McReynold, but will have to dig into it to see if you have anything more than I. I have a lot on the Wheeler family, but suppose you do also.
