Have located Nelson Washburn in Lake County 1860 to 1880. He probably died there. Are there any relatives still living in Lake County who can fill me in on where he is buried? Nelson Washburn is my gr-gr-grandfather.

I am also researching Nelson Washburn from Lake County. I'm having difficulty finding where he was born. Have you discovered anything more?

Pat, this is great news! I have pretty good records up to Nelson's son, Steven McClelland Washburn (b 14 Apr 1868 in Lakeport, Lake, CA). But I only have Nelson in the 1870 and 1880 census. I've been looking for his birth town and parents for some time.

If you have a PAF file or gedcom file, I'd love to have a copy. Or just any information you may have about Nelson, his wife, and parents.

Louise, I'm not sure how much information I have. My Mother-In-Law's Dad's name was McClellan Washburn and he married Mary Jane Taylor. I show Mac's mother's name as Margaret and I show that Mac and Mary Jane had 13 children. I would love to share information with you if this is the right family.
