HISTORY NOTES: Lee Smith JARRELL

Birmingham News
Wednesday July 28, 1943

Mr. Lee Smith Jarrell, age 63 of 217 S. 59th. St. passed away Tuesday
morning at his residence.

He is survived by his widow; 1 daughter, Mrs. J.A. Howell of Nauvou,
Ala; 2 sons T.E. and F.E. Jarrell; 4 sisters, Mrs. J.W Hinton, Mrs.
W.H. Johnston, Mrs. George W. Sandling (Effie), Mrs. Ben T. Selman
(Corrie).

Funeral services will be held at Luquires Chapel 4 p.m. Thursday.

Internment Forest Hill Cemetery,

Dr. D.I. Purser officiating. Luquire directing.

Active pallbearers; Albert Oglesby, Z.A. Easterwood, J.R. Conners,
R.S. Wildsmith, J.V. Stuart, R.S. Burgin.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jarrell

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Forest Hill for
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jarrell, 82, of 217 59th. St. S. who died at home
yesterday.

The Reverend N.H. McGuiness ?? will officiate, Johns-Rideouts
directing.

A native of Pickens County, she was a long-time resident of
Birmingham and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. A. Howell of Houston, Texas; two
sons, T.E. Jarrell of Plainfield, N.J, and F.E. Jarrell of
Birmingham; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
