I am looking for info on Mary Alice's parents. She was born abt 1875-1878. married Thomas t. scott in JAN 1896, and died in 1911.

The information I have is that Mary Alice Jackson, b. Apr 1875/1878, was the daughter of Margaret (Butler) and Josiah (Cyrus) Jackson. Margaret was the daughter of Margaret (Herston) and John Winston Butler; Josiah was the son of James D. Jackson and his second wife whose name is unknown.

If this is the same Mary Alice, I have the marriage date as 30 Sept 1896, in Lauderdale Co, AL

That is what I had surmised, but I could not prove it. The marriage date is correct. I believe she is my great grandmother. She married Thomas T. scott, my great grandfather, son of JRP Scott and Mary H. Tanner. does this agree with what you have. Do you have any verifying documentation.
