I'm also researching the Miles line around southern AL. My grandparents, John W. Miles and Mary Edna McEvoy married in Escambia Co. FL in 1896. His father was born in Conecuh Co. Looking for information on the Bryars family. James Lazarus Bryars was a minister in Escambia County in the mid to late 1800's. He married 1st Erin Elizabeth Miles in 1857 and 2nd Malinda Daily in 1869. I have not been able to locate the 2nd wife's grave. Any information on James Bryars or Elizabeth Miles Bryars would be appreciated. Thanks

Malinda Daily is buried next to James Lazarus Bryars in
the Crary Cemetery at Bluff Springs, Escambia County,
Florida. Malinda's grave is not marked. Elizabeth Miles
Bryars is buried in the Bowman Cemetery at Wawbeek,
Escambia County, Alabama. Elizabeth was a sister to my
great-grandfather. Do you have a date and place of marriage
for Malinda and James Lazarus? I've been looking for it.

Thank you for the info. I have Malinda and James Lazarus married in about 1869 in Escambia County. Which brother was your g grandfather. My great grandmother was Lucy Elizabeth, James Lazarus and Elizabeth Miles daughter. Her daughter Erin Ellen "Nelle" Dick was my grandmother.
