I have several old photo that might be of interest to some Dale Co researchers.I estimate they were taken around 1910. One is of a family named HERRING. On the back of the original was written "Mrs. Herring and family, living on the Robertson place, Grimes, Ala - Neighbors". They must have been neigbors to my GF Moses Jeter BALDWIN. Another is of a family of John and Jane BABSTON. I believe Jane to be a half sister to Charles P. BRANNAN. Writing on back indicated the photo may have been taken in Texas. Another is a school group photo with my uncles B. C. and Moses Shofner BALDWIN and aunt Ida BALDWIN identified along with a Wilmer DOMINY and Miss Willie ADAMS. Wilmer and Miss Willie appear to be teachers. Another is identified as a group picture of students at Lewis School at Christian Hill. Those identified are Lem SNELL, Foster PRESTON, and uncles B. C. and Moses Shofner BALDWIN. Another is a large group of people, either a family or maybe a church group, with B. C. , Moses Shofner and Ida BALDWIN identified along with Zina HERRING. The oldest photo is a copy of an old tin type dated 1891. It is a photo of Charles Paschal Brannan and Laney Woodham Brannan with daughters Piety Alice and Rebecca Allie. My grandfather was Richard Hosea JUDAH (born 25 Oct 1892 died 20 Dec 1972) from Dale County, FL. Since there were a lot of JUDAHS in that area, I'm not sure if he is in your JUDAH family tree. There are quite a few gaps in his life, and if your research can help me fill some of them, I would be very grateful. I would love to see your photos...especially if "my JUDAH" if one of "your JUDAHs".

I was greatly interested in your reference to John and Jane Babston, and Brannan. My 2nd great grand father was John Babston and his wife was Joanna Brannan from Dale Co. Alabama. They moved to Texas around 1876. Could you email me a jepeg of this photo?

I am very interested in the photo of Foster Preston and the Lewis School. Foster was my grandfather's 1st cousin and my father Rex Preston attended Lewis School.
