A Mrs. Joe Raley signed as the informant on a death certificate for Catherine Hammond Henderson in Andalusia on May 11, 1958. I'm trying to find information about whether Mrs. Raley was a child of Catherine's---or information on descendants of Mrs. Raley.

I would like info on this also. A Joe Raley was the brother of my grandfather, William Vert Raley. I don't know anything about his family other than they had a sister who lived in Mobiel.

If i'm not wrong, Joe Raley was the son of Abraham Raley. I have a Raley family tree and I am from Andalusia. Also, Abraham settled in Covington County Alabama in the 1850s.

found information in the Pike County, Al library about Abraham Raley..and I believe that this is the son of Abraham Raley in Covington County. This lists the children of Milton Barnes, from Red Level Alabama..one of the girls: Amanda E., born 1855, married Abraham Raley. I believe her middle name was "Estelle" and that she married Joseph Abraham Raley, son of Abraham Raley and Elizabeth Jones. Another Milton Barnes children : Sidney, married Elizabeth C. Raley, another Newton A.Barnes married Sara Ann Henderson(they went to Texas) and Margaret Barnes married John Henley.

All of this makes sense..the Raley's and the Kilpatricks were connected and the older kilpatricks married into the Henderson family..and I have a picture of NEWT Barnes with one of my Kilpatricks taken in Texas.
