Zebulon P. "Zeb" George is my great-great-grandfather. He is the son of Hugh L. George & Mary A. __________. Zeb was born September 14, 1867 in AL. and died November 21, 1950 in Opp, Covington Co., AL. He is buried in an unmarked grave in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Hwy 84, Opp, Covington Co., AL. Zeb married Lydia Martha "Laura" Jackson, daughter of Thomas John Jackson & Sally Ann McKee in about 1893. Zeb & Laura had 12 children.

Looking for info on my grandmother Mary Ella Sasser Atwell Wright, Born? Died July 1966, Married to Felix M. Wright, lived in Opp, Al Coventington Co. when past away, any info would be of great help

I know of Mary Ella from Cov. Co. She lived in the Cedar Grove comm. I know her great grandson well and will be happy to help find out more about her. She is a distant relative of mine, came down the line of Jesse Bryan. I have a picture of her niece, CarLeee Sasser, I can share. Her brothers are John, Mack, Eel and Green Sasser. She has a daughter, Mennie, that married Johnny Carter. Could be buried in the Cedar Grove Cem. Her first husband was bit by a mad dog, which ended his life.

I also have some info on this family that I can share. Mary Ella was my 3rd cousin, once removed. She and her two husbands are buried at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Covington Co

Hi, I have a g grandmother by the name of Mary Ella Bailey Sasser. I wonder if your Mary Ella and mine are tthe same person? She probably lived in Covington and Crenshaw Co.
She married a James Thomas Sasser (ggf) probably in the late 1800's or very early 1900's. Any info would surely be appreciated.

Mr. Bowdoin, I would very much like to communicate with you regarding Zebulon's parents, Hugh George and Mary UNKNOWN. Might they also be the parents of Melvinie Parthenia George born 1862 and married Green J Cadenhead in Pke Co, AL in May of 1881?

If so, Mary would be Mary Ann Catrett - I HOPE. I have conflicting data and need help. I have a certified copy of Melvinie's Death Certificate which lists her parents as Hughy George and Mary Ann Catrett. Melvinie was born ca 1862 and died in Okaloosa Co, FL in 1933 I have a little more on her I can share if you wish.
