I know you can get copies of old newspaper articles through the genealogy department of the andalusia library. they will do look ups for a small fee. I am interested in the story of your family. I stated earlier that we have some Curry's in our family line that married a Jackson from Buck Creek area. Not sure if they are any relations. Also trying to solve the mystery surrounding Bud Nolis DuBose & Elizabeth Johnson (Johnston). I am in Texas but would like to share any information. You may reach me at gravejunkee@aol.com Thanks.

Do either one of you know anything about Bo's Deerskin Inn...Bo & Mac Curry were brothers and this establishment was run by a Roy Curry....

Mac Curry was my grandfather. He and Bo were brothers. The Roy Curry you mentioned was the great grandson of William T. I have heard it went as follows: William T, Ira, Harvey, and then Roy. Roy was executor of Uncle Bo's estate and ran the place for some time after his death. Hope this helps.

You mentioned in another posting about the Jackson family. Mac Curry married Mattie Jackson.

A good website for reading old news articles for a multitude of southern counties is TrackingYourRoots.com.
I've found that it takes quite a bit of reading but even the stuff that I'm not looking for is still VERY interesting.
Hopes this helps someone.
