Looking for information on where John Treu came from. Reported to have come from Mecklenburg-Schwerin. John was born in 1821. We find him in the US about 1846. He lived in the township of Jefferson, Wisconsin between 1850-1857. He married Hanna Melisena Brockmann/Brookman around 1857 after the death of her first husband, August Brockmann.
Does anyone have any information on where John Treu camefrom in Mecklenburg-Schwerin?
