Mickey, I was thinking of visiting Old Shawneetown, IL for the same purpose, so you saved me the effort. But since he was said to have been visiting relatives in Shawneetown at the time of his death, it would seem the court records might indicate Wests or Andersons living there at that time. Did you check that angle? Did you ever follow up to try to find Isaac West's grave there, as you mentioned in your posting? I'm descended from Robert Anderson West, one of his sons by Susannah Anderson. John Cross
