Marilyn, Thanks for the reply! In the 1880 clay co. Al. Census there is an Elizabeth Todd age 30 with two daughters, Mindy age 7 and Melvina age 4.Girls were born in Al. and Elizabeth in Ga. Mindy or (Amanda) was my Grandmother b, 11May, 1871. Married William Caldwell b.07 June,1858. They were married 06 Dec. 1888 at the res. of Melvina Todd by L.P.McKnight.Don't know if they connect down the line . Also my husband's father, Thomas Hamilton was the only member of his family to come from Aireshire? Scotland.
