There was a man named John Baxley (b. NC 1795) who married a woman named Charlott(e) (b. NC abt. 1804) about 1826 in NC and subsequently moved to Williamsburg, SC. John died about 1835, and Charlott(e) remarried a widower named James Altman of Williamsburg. James Altman died about 1848, leaving Charlott(e) with several Baxley and Altman children. I am trying to trace the ancestry of John & Charlott(e) Baxley. Does anyone have any info on these folks? -Ed Hudson ehudsoniii@aol.com
