I am looking for information on John Alexander Axford, born in the Lanchester District, County Durham, England in 1901. I also want to find out more about his parents (where they were born, etc). Does anyone have access to a census for this area? John Alexander Axford's parents were William Axford and Mary Ann Elizabeth Freeman. William Axford was born in 1869. They had the following children: Charles, Elizabeth, William Henry, Susannah, Eva, John Alexander, Hilda, Thomas and Arthur Edward.
